29/11/09: 47245 stands in Swanage yard, waiting to head back to London on Monday. The photographer points out that this loco (D1922 at the time) was one of ONLY six Brush type 4's that were allocated to the Southern region at Eastleigh (70D) to help out with the ailing Bullied Pacifics on the 'Bournemouth Belle'. Some of these 47s also ran on the Swanage Branch from October 1966 – September 1968 before it closed.

47270 will be running on an 0Z47 schedule around the Midlands for the next few weeks on hire to Serco for route learning purposes, on Tues-Thurs 1st-3rd December 2009 this is an 0Z47 0800 Crewe Coal Sidings (0805 Crewe station) to Leamington Spa via Wolverhampton, Bescot, Soho and Tyseley, returning back the same route departing Leamington Spa at 1323.
After spending Saturday night at Peterborough, 47786 and 47851 visited the Nene carriage sidings (where FCC stable there units) on Sunday morning for water before proceeding to Carnforth.
