  • During last night 47760 ran to Low Row on the Tyne Valley line to rescue 14 passengers and two Northern traincrew trapped on a 142 that had run in to a snow trip. Two trips were required from there to Carlisle to evacuate the passengers in the cabs of the loco! One of the most unusual 'passenger' workings for a class 47... It departed Low Row at 2256 and 0012 during the night whilst running as 1Z99.
