20/01/13: 47500 at Ardwick TMD on Sunday night during a blizzard stabled amongst TransPennine Express class 185s.
500 arrived at Ardwick on Saturday 19th January 2013 with an ECS working, it is not known if it hauled the train or if 57601 with it did. 500 stayed at Ardwick however until Wednesday 23/01/13 when it was swapped with 57006 between the 5Z57 and 5Z47 listed yesterday, that 57 now being at Ardwick.
During the time at Ardwick, 47500 was shunted to the end of a siding out of the way whilst the carriages were tyre turned under contract by Siemens. Depot staff at Ardwick do not operate any WCR locos when there, 500 having been shunted to this position by the depot shunt locomotive which can be seen behind the 47 in the second photo.
