27/01/12: DRS's 47810 became the first 47 to work a class 2 passenger train in 2012 on Friday. The last passenger train to use a 47 was a class 1 charter service on 7th January and a few before that, though so far only 1Z__ charter services have utilised 47s, no timetabled class 1 or 2 trains until the above view - which shows 47810 before working 2T21 1648 Sellafield-Carlisle. It has been kept on standby at Carlisle Kingmoor for these workings since the turn began on Monday 9th January 2012.

28/01/12: There was an EMRPS photo charter at the Gloucestershire & Warwickshire Railway on Saturday night, with 47376 seen at Toddington.
